Engenium Provide Gateway to Africa

Resource Development Group Ltd (“RDG”) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Engenium Pty Ltd (“Engenium”) is expanding the depth of its project delivery services in Africa through a strategic partnership with South African based ULS Mineral Resource Projects (ULS).

The Engenium/ULS partnership will assist Perth based ASX listed resource companies transition their Australian studies into projects and ultimately operations in Africa, through a developed presence in both continents. Engenium continues to support a number of African studies for Australian companies, and with the ULS African project execution experience the partnership is able to decrease the risks of delivering complex and demanding projects in Africa’s remote and challenging environments.

ULS has an extensive project footprint in Africa having successfully undertaken several hundred projects in more than 20 African countries in the mining, processing, industrial and civil infrastructure sectors. In addition, Engenium have experience of carrying out studies in a number of African countries over the last year including Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and Nigeria.

Wayne Peel, Managing Director of Engenium commented “It is always a challenge to establish a mine in another continent and in Africa it is made harder due to logistical, political and socio economic factors. By offering this kind of partnership to Australian resource companies, we aim to make the transition easier for them. Engenium has partnered with an established company, located in an area that has seen significant mining interest and activity in recent years. ULS have existing relationships with local contractors, suppliers, financial, legal institutions and government ministries.”

“It would take Engenium a long time to establish these relationships if we were to go it alone. ULS have offices based in South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe which means there is an opportunity for us to provide a personal service through a wider area of the continent.” he added. This service offering is an extension of an existing working relationship Engenium has developed with ULS over recent months.
