Ecologia Commissioned for Sheffield Resources Project

Continuing to build on an existing relationship with Sheffield Resources Ltd (“Sheffield”), Resource Development Group Ltd (“RDG”) subsidiary Ecologia Environment Pty Ltd (“Ecologia”), is pleased to announce it has been commissioned to complete all biological assessments for the Thunderbird site of Sheffield Resources Mineral Sands Project on the Dampier Peninsula.

The biological assessments will include flora and fauna surveys to support Sheffield in the environmental approvals process, with a team of Ecologia personnel being mobilised to undertake a series of combination surveys that maximise efficiencies in the field.

“This is a great win for Ecologia”, said Dr. Lazaro Roque‐Albelo, Ecologia’s General Manager. “This project builds on our experience in the Kimberley Region and demonstrates the diversified capabilities of our highly qualified team. It is a major project for Ecologia that will take us into the early part of next year.”

Sheffield is a rapidly emerging mineral sands company with significant additional nickel, talc and iron assets, all located within the state of Western Australia. The Thunderbird Project is located 60km west of the port of Derby in the West Kimberley Region of Western Australia.

Commenting on the contract win, RDG Managing Director Jeff Brill said “since acquiring Ecologia in 2012, the team at Ecologia have continued to deliver a strong pipeline of work, with this contract being yet another example. This latest win not only continues to demonstrate Ecologia’s reputation in the industry, but also secures continuity of works intothe new year.”
